There are several different incident types that can be entered using the internet. Please select one from the list below and continue. For supplemental information, select Supplement Report, not the original incident type. If the incident you are reporting has a known suspect, you should instead call us.

Theft Your property is taken without your permission. To qualify for an online report, you enter the stolen property when asked. Do not use this form to report stolen vehicles or firearms. Property known to be stolen and missing may be reported. Lost property is not a theft. Applicable reports would include items stolen from your porch, yard, or driveway. If items were taken from your UNLOCKED vehicle, please file your report under Theft from a vehicle. If items were taken from a LOCKED vehicle, please file under Vehicle Burglary.
Fraud Fraudulently obtaining money or services. When someone obtains your bank account information, personal ID information, or money by false or fraudulent representation or pretense.
Graffiti Graffiti to public and private areas, playgrounds, sound walls, utility, or other property. Graffiti to structures or other property with spray paint or markers, etc. No suspect information.
Hit and Run Leaving the scene of a collision without providing a license, insurance and/or vehicle information. Do NOT use if there is a known suspect/driver name or if the license plate number is known. If that information is present, please contact Chico Police Dispatch at (530)895-4911. Damage caused by another vehicle in which the driver should have left information or fled the scene without stopping to exchange information.
